Thinkbaby – The Best Sunblock for Kids and their Families

We live in Seattle but our family loves the hot, sunny weather. We vacation in sunny destinations like Hawaii and California. And believe it or not, Seattle also gets a lot of sun in the spring and summer. That is why we depend on Thinkbaby Sunblock to keep our family from getting sunburns and sun damage.

We have tried more than our fair share of sunblock brands. I grew up using Coppertone and Banana Boat, however once I had children of my own, I started to realize how harmful the chemicals in traditional sunblocks are. The worst part is that there were chemical free alternatives that we had never tried.

Sunblocks contain multiple chemicals, but two of the worst are oxybenzone and retinyl palmitate. Both of which do more harm that good (think hormone disruption).

The active ingredient in Thinkbaby is Zinc Oxide which helps protect the skin from sun damage and provides UVA and UVB protection. It is free of Parabens, PABA, phthalates, BPA and other toxic chemicals. ThinkBaby has been awarded the lowest rating on ThinkDirty.

Though this is called Thinkbaby, our entire family uses this sunscreen. It rubs on easily (much easier than some of the other natural brands out there!) and absorbs much like traditional sunscreens. Once applied, it lasts up to 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. Winner!
