Remedy Organics Reset Review

Remedy Organics has been showing up all over my Facebook and Instagram pages so it’s been on my radar for a while. I finally made the jump and tried out the 3-day reset program. In the past I have failed with liquid cleanses since I need actual food so I’ll be documenting my experience over these 3-days. Let’s see if it is worth it!

What comes in the Remedy Organics Reset bundle?

The reset bundle comes with a total of 12 immunity shots and 18 wellness shakes. But the price is steep at $140 for the box. That breaks down to $4.67 per drink.

Immunity shots are around $3.50 at our local Trader Joes but with the reset bundle, we are getting more variety. Our homemade turmeric wellness shots can be made for a fraction of the cost.

However, the value is in the smoothies. Each smoothie contains different superfoods and if we were to purchase all those superfoods separately, it would cost a small fortune.

As a bonus, a certified nutritionist created each of these blends, so it feels safer than doing it myself.

Breakfast

  • Matcha Antioxidants Wellness Shake – I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I get anxious when I drink caffeine so I was really worried this one would trigger anxiety. But I’m happy to say that it did not. The texture is similar to almond milk. It isn’t thick like I had imagined but that made it easy to drink. It was surprisingly satisfying.
Ingredients: Organic almond milk (water, organic almonds), Organic pea protein, Organic coconut sugar, Organic natural flavor, Organic matcha, Organic spirulina, Organic acacia fiber, Organic sunflower lecithin, Vitamin blend (calcium derived from seaweed, vitamin A, vitamin D), Organic turmeric, Gellan gum, Organic maca, Guar gum, Sea salt, Organic monk fruit, Organic prebiotic fiber (derived from tapioca)
  • Energize Me Immunity + Shot – This one has cayenne and many of the website reviews said this one was too spicy. I don’t like spicy food so I was concerned. Turns out that it is a little spicy but nothing I couldn’t handle. If it is too spicy, some reviews recommend chasing it with the smoothie. This wasn’t my favorite but it did feel like it was nutritious. Ingredients: Matcha, Zinc, Cayenne, Ginger, L-Theanene, Probiotics, Vitamin C & D

Lunch

  • Cacao Essentials Wellness Shake – Chocolate lovers will really enjoy this one! It is sweetened with dates so it tastes like healthy chocolate milk. I’m not a huge chocolate fan so it wasn’t my favorite but after the cleanse I think I will keep this one on hand for those 3pm fixes when I’m craving something sweet. Ingredients: Organic almond milk (water, organic almonds), Organic pea protein, Organic coconut sugar, Organic cocoa powder, Organic hemp seeds, Organic dates, Organic natural flavor, Organic acacia fiber, Organic cinnamon, Organic sunflower lecithin, Vitamin blend (calcium derived from seaweed, vitamin A, vitamin D), Gellan gum, Organic maca, Organic ashwagandha, Guar gum, Sea salt, Organic stevia powder, Organic prebiotic fiber (derived from tapioca)
  • Blue Oxidants – I was excited to try this one because it has spirulina which is great for adrenal fatigue. It tasted similar to the other shakes, so it didn’t stand out as anything special but I still enjoyed it. Ingredients: Organic almond milk (water, organic almonds), Organic pea protein, Organic coconut sugar, Organic coconut cream, Organic coconut oil, Organic natural flavor, Organic acacia fiber, Organic sunflower lecithin, Organic blue spirulina extract, Organic MCT oil, Vitamin blend (calcium derived from seaweed, vitamin A, vitamin D), Gellan gum, Organic maca root, Guar gum, Sea salt, Organic stevia powder, Organic prebiotic fiber (derived from tapioca)
  • Heal Me Shot – Again, not my favorite, but tolerable. I just hold my breath and drink it. You’re supposed to drink it after the other drinks, but I just take it to get it out of the way. If you hate spice, this one might also be too spicy. You’ll definitely want to chase it with the smoothies. Ingredients: Ginger, Zinc, Vitamin C + D, Lemon, Turmeric, Cayenne, Prebiotics

3pm Snack – Yup there’s a snack

  • Berry Immunity – This is my FAVORITE! I love berries and I’m more of a strawberry milk person than chocolate milk, so this one was right up my alley! I loved the berries in this one. It really did remind me of strawberry milk. The base is coconut milk but there is no coconut flavor. I’m definitely keeping this one on hand too. Ingredients: Organic coconut milk (organic cocnut cream, water), Organic dragon fruit, Organic pea protein, Organic coconut sugar, Organic coconut oil, Organic natural flavor, Organic strawberry, Organic acacia fiber, Organic sunflower lecithin, Beet powder, Organic camu camu powder, Organic MCT oil, Vitamin blend (calcium derived from seaweed, vitamin A, vitamin D), Organic lion’s mane mushroom extract, Organic fruit and vegetable juice (for color), Organic maca powder, Guar gum, Organic echinacea, Sea salt, Organic elderberry powder, Organic monk fruit, Gellan gum, Organic prebiotic fiber (derived from tapioca)
  • Protect Me Immunity Shot – This one was fruitier than the others and tolerable. I don’t have a favorite shot but if I had to recommend one to someone new to healthy eating, it might be this one. It pairs well with the Berry Immunity smoothie too. Ingredients: Elderberry, Probiotics, Ginger, Cayenne, Zinc, Vitamin C + D

Dinner

  • Super Chai Fuel – I have a chai tea latte recipe which was one of my favorites when I still drank caffeine. This drink reminds me of that recipe. It is light and tastes like cloves and nutmeg (there are no cloves in it). I’m surprised this is a dinner and not a breakfast drink, but I think it is meant to wind you down before bed. Ingredients: Organic almond milk (water, organic almonds), Organic pea protein, Organic cane sugar, Organic Hemp seeds, Organic natural flavor, Organic acacia fiber, Organic sunflower lecithin, Organic Cinnamon, Organic nutmeg, Vitamin blend (calcium derived from seaweed, vitamin A, vitamin D), Gellan gum, Organic maca, Organic cardamom, Guar gum, Sea salt, Organic stevia powder, Organic prebiotic fiber (derived from tapioca)
  • Golden Mind – I’m drinking this one as I write this post and it is enjoyable. Again, it reminds me of another of my posts – Golden Milk Latte. Golden milk is delicious so I consider this a plus. It does feel like a drink before-bed kind of drink. It’s warm and delicious. One of my favorites.
  • Detoxify Me – There is a lot of talk about drinking charcoal and the thought just scares me so I was nervous about this one. However, it was actually tart and sour due to the lemon. It tasted nothing like charcoal! There is cayenne in it, but you can’t taste it at all. This might have been my least favorite shot because it was so tart, but it was bearable. Ingredients: Activated Charcoal, Ginger, Zinc, Prebiotics, Lemon, Cayenne, Vitamin C + D

Remedy Organics Subscription Box – Reset Program

The boxes can be ordered as a one-time delivery, but adding a subscription will save you 10%. The subscription has been easy to manage and it can be skipped or cancelled via the website.

The only downside is that promo codes can’t be used when the Subscribe and Save box is checked. If you have a promo code for more than 10%, it would be a better deal to do the one-time delivery.

If you are considering purchasing any of the Remedy Organics products, I would recommend signing up for their email list so you get occasional promo discounts.

Day 1

We had been eating healthy before starting the reset so I am hoping that makes things easier. Unfortunately, I woke up starving on day one.

It is recommended that you drink 2 glasses of lemon water as soon as you wake up. Last night I squeezed 2 lemons and stored the juice in a small mason jar. This should be enough to last all 3 days and then some.

Breakfast – I woke up late so I had the first shake around 9:15 am. Unfortunately, I woke up starving and I was afraid this wouldn’t be enough. I drank the smoothie and shot very quickly and it turned out that it was enough to hold me over for about an hour.

They ask you to drink 16oz of water or tea in between meals. Water is always a challenge for me but I drank about 1 glass after breakfast.

Lunch – Lunch was around 12 pm. I was so hungry before lunch that I took a few bites of brown rice to hold me over. It was enough to hold off my hunger until lunch. I drank one shake and the shot and it was pretty filling. So I sipped on the remaining smoothie over the next hour and a half. I’m starting to feel lightheaded when I stand up. It only lasts for a minute but I do feel like I’m getting low on energy. I hate this feeling but it is to be expected.

I forgot to drink more water. It felt like I was already drinking so much!

Snack – Snack time was around 4 pm. I was starving again so I took a few more bites of brown rice and chicken to hold me over (I’m a wimp with drink cleanses). The berry drink was my favorite so it felt like a treat. I was pretty happy with this one.

Dinner – Dinner was at 7:30 pm. Again…starving! I sipped on the smoothies over a few hours to make them last. I finally finished them around 9 pm but I was still hungry. A few more bites of rice and chicken and then off to bed. Tomorrow I will be sure to drink more water

Day 2

Breakfast – I woke up sluggish and with a dull headache but I wasn’t hungry. I had 2 glasses of lemon water and then had my breakfast smoothie and shot around 8 am. I was not as excited to be doing this again today but my stomach felt really good. My IBS was not acting up and I was starting to think the reset might be working. I tell myself that I will make it through today…I’m not sure about tomorrow at this point.

Lunch – Lunch was earlier than normal today and I finished the second smoothie around 10:30 am. I knew it would throw off my day but I couldn’t wait any longer. I sipped on coffee and water until snack time. Aside from being hungry, I’m still feeling really good! My stomach is not upset and I do feel like I have more energy.

Snack – This is where I fell off the wagon. I had the snack drink around 1 pm and then decided I was done with the reset. I ate some leftover chicken and rice. I love the wellness shots after a meal.

Dinner – I had a salad for dinner along with the dinner smoothies. From this point on, the shakes would have to be accompanied by a small meal, or I wasn’t going to make it.

Day 3

At this point, I decided I was done. I made the drinks last for another 3 days because I only had them for breakfast and as a snack.

Is Remedy Organics worth it?

Even though the entire 3-day reset was too long, I enjoyed the Remedy Organics smoothies and already ordered another box. The matcha smoothie is delicious for breakfast and provides energy to get you going without the caffeine crash. It is refreshing and makes an easy grab-and-go breakfast.

PROS:

  • The value is decent when you consider how many superfoods each drink contains.
  • No artificial sweeteners
  • A licensed nutritionist created the different blends
  • The taste is delicious for a healthy drink
  • The immunity shots are amazing and provide instant energy

Cons:

  • There is heavy use of different gums. I assume these are emulsifiers but I wish they weren’t included
  • If you are used to healthy drinks, these drinks are delicious. If not, you may find them chalky and difficult to drink
  • Cost – Even with the Subscribe and Save discount, these are expensive. Sign up for emails and use a promo code

Since I’ve written this review, I have ordered the reset a dozen times without the expectation of completing a 3-day reset. Now I know that I’ll get through one full day and then use the remaining drinks as breakfast and one meal replacement throughout the next few days.

I will usually order a box after a vacation or when I feel I need to get back on track. The smoothies are nice to have on hand when working from home or when running errands outside of the house. Sometimes it’s nice to spoil yourself and take a break from making smoothies!
